YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE, JUST BY GOING WITHOUT!

Donate $2, $10, or whatever the value is that you decide to go without. Giving up beer for a week or a month? That’s worth a lot of rice & lentils.

We know you work hard for your cash, and knowing that money is being put to good use is important, so we’ve tried to make it easy.

We encourage you to get informed about the food charities you support, and invite you to give to Not So Fast in our efforts to support our own community. We believe that giving back starts in our own backyard, and that the best support is the support we can give ourselves, and with close friends.

We work closely with partners in our community to help provide healthy, accessible & nourishing staples to those in need. In addition to this, we work directly with youth and families to build life-giving skills in the kitchen.

cookingclasses

NSF COOKING CLASSES

We teach kids & families to cook easy, healthy & affordable food at no cost to them. Your money is used to purchase ingredients that folks cook and take home to their families, along with recipes, so one day we hope they can make them on their own.

FARMER’S MARKET TOURS & TOKENS

We’ve partnered with Vancouver Farmer’s Markets to purchase easily redeemable tokens for the Farmer’s Market. There, families can meet local food producers and enjoy the bounty of our own backyard. Even if it just a little, every one of us has a right to the same goodness.

BUYING FOOD

We buy food for various groups, by simply donating money they need to purchase food ingredients to support their programs. There are many great organizations doing great work out there, and we are here to help.

To follow our grassroots initiatives, subscribe to our newsletter and blog. Here we’ll update you on our current programs, outreach, and new partners as they come on board.
